A veteran family business in Townsville, set up to do security the way it was taught to us: plan first, turn up early, write everything down.
Our team
OPFOR Security is a veteran family-owned business. The people who run it served, and the habits that came out of that service are the ones we hire for: turn up on time, brief before you start, hand over properly at the end of a shift.
That matters more in this industry than it sounds. Most security failures are not dramatic. They are a gate nobody checked, a radio nobody charged, a handover that never happened. We build the roster so those things cannot quietly go wrong.
Every client has one point of contact who knows the site. You are not calling a queue, and you are not explaining your venue again to somebody new.
Licensing and insurance
Security is a regulated industry in Queensland. Ask any provider for these before you sign, including us.
- Firm licence
- Queensland security firm licence, issued by the Office of Fair Trading. Number listed in the footer of this site.
- Individual
- Every guard and crowd controller holds a current individual licence for the class of work they do.
- Insurance
- Full public liability cover. A certificate of currency is available on request before work starts.
- Training
- Accredited training through BARS Training Australia, plus site-specific briefings before each job.
Where we work
We are based in Townsville and work across North Queensland. For most of the region we can have a patrol vehicle on site the same day, and for planned events we will come out weeks ahead to walk the ground with you.
